MSI Dualscreen Netbook

Posted on Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 in Design Gadget Technology with tags .

YouTube – MSI Dualscreen Netbook with Multitouch Display. Now this is exactly what I was hoping would come up when there was a buzz around Apple‘s ipad. Sadly the ipad did not go all the way and still has tremendous scope for improvement in terms or becoming a proper computing platform than a media display [...]

Is this the Future?

Posted on Friday, September 10th, 2010 in Design Gadget Technology Thoughts User Interface Video with tags .

This is the result of TAT’s Open Innovation experiment. It is an experience video showing the future of screen technology with stretchable screens, transparent screens and e-ink displays, to name a few. Well actually I would expect more. For instance the Keyboard and Mouse sure look redundant with a display and touch sensitive table surface. [...]

Philips got a great way to view 2.40:1

Posted on Wednesday, August 11th, 2010 in Design Gadget Technology with tags .

The ultrawide Philips LCD displays movies the way they were meant to be. In 2.40:1 ratio. The TV comes in 56″ size and has ambilight to ease contrast in dark rooms, much like how a silver screen diffuses and disperses the light around in a theater. The ambilight feature also changes color depending on the [...]

Toshiba libretto® W100 Dual-Screen Laptop PC. Sometime back when the ipad popped out from Apple‘s stable, I kind of wished something like this was offered by Apple instead of the current ipad. I think the ipad is beautiful but it’s just not really a useful device. The Liberto “looks like” it has its basics correct. [...]

Found this a few days back

Posted on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 in Technology with tags .

Not very often that we see an intercity bus parked with its rear engine bay open to view, probably from overheating. But this was on a rainy day. Found this Volvo B7R city bus with it’s intestines in full view, snapped it up. Regret the cell phones lack of quality but the sprockets and belts [...]

Houseparty. Microsoft’s got a phone out there now and it does look good. Comes in two versions of Kin One and Kin two, and both look rounded and fresh, much like a Samsung Corby, young and happy. It’s a welcome break from the numerous iPhone lookalike crowding the market. From what can be seen in [...]

Notion Ink’s Adam

Posted on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 in Gadget Technology with tags .

Notion Ink Adam hands-on via Notion Ink Adam hands-on – SlashGear. Here’s another Tablet in the market, hitting it a wee bit before the ipad, sometime in December 2008. Since it’s a prototype the Adam’s casing here is not what the final design will be; in fact this was hand-made especially for showing the tablet at [...]

Why Apple leaves out Car Audio?

Posted on Saturday, February 6th, 2010 in Gadget Technology Thoughts with tags .

This is not a rumor or a hoax, this is just a suggestion. We all know that iPod is probably one of the most used devices in the car in conjunction with other devices that already exist. But why doesn’t Apple get into the market directly and give us front row right from the driver’s [...]

Short-Sight of Short URLs

Posted on Saturday, February 6th, 2010 in Technology Thoughts with tags .

Now a days we are flooded with a crowd of short URLs that inadvertently  find their way to Blogs, Posts and other such places. By nature, these URLs do not disclose the source of the content. However, once ported to a larger medium like a Blog or Forum, they need to disclose their final target. A need [...]

An Eco friendly Washing Machine

Posted on Friday, February 5th, 2010 in Patent Pending Technology with tags .

For a long time I have had this thought in mind. Why can’t washing machines have 2 water inlets, separate for Hot and Cold since so many users now have Solar Heaters at home. How it would help: Reduction in energy costs when heated wash is used. Most washing soaps are designed to work in [...]

How many of you use Top Sites on Safari?

Posted on Friday, February 5th, 2010 in Technology Thoughts with tags .

Just curious, how many actually use this feature in Safari? Top Sites is a feature in safari where it gives you a thumbnail display of all frequently visited websites. Although the function is very simple, the display however is fantastic like all things Apple.

I have an internet enabled phone, which I use primarily to talk (90%), text (8%), click images of vague animals and impromptu kid actions (2%). I did try using it to receive my emails, at least read through them or reply back but the lack of screen space is just a killer. That’s how this [...]

Unification of the Gadgetification of Life

Posted on Friday, February 5th, 2010 in Patent Pending Technology with tags .

This is needed in the very near future. Devices would be categorized as Handheld, Storage, Display, Input, Output, Network apart from all others that may be there in the Kitchen. Let’s just leave them for now for the sake of ease (that’s my ease). Diagram displays the possible interconnectivity and overlap. The problem comes when [...]

concept Grid with Tablets

Posted on Thursday, February 4th, 2010 in Gadget Patent Pending Technology with tags .

Carrying forward from my earlier post here, we can create Tablets that not only help in personal computing and handheld computing, but also extend visually and physically. Something thats a physical Grid as well as a computing Grid. The idea maybe a little over the top, but things should aim at heading this way.

Why me no iPad

Posted on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 in Gadget Technology with tags .

Apple – iPad – The best way to experience the web, email, and photos. Well this might be a little too early to say as I may give in to the looks and the design of the ipad sometime soon as soon as its stable and available in India, but I still have my doubts [...]

dumb question of the day!

Posted on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 in Technology Timeline with tags .

How fast do you need to run to avoid getting run over by a train? The answer seems to be simple upfront that you cannot outrun the train and sort of come under it and perish permanently. But the actual answer depends on how fast the train is going actually? If its running a bit [...]
